Our Role in Complex-Care Placement
Seattle Assisted Living Network (SALN) is a placement service, not a medical provider or regulator. When a person has care needs that general placement services turn away — mechanical ventilation, tracheostomy support, bariatric accommodations, dialysis coordination, memory or psychiatric care, or a combination of needs — we help families and discharge planners understand the landscape of adult family home and assisted living options in Washington.
Before presenting potential options, we discuss current availability, provider acceptance criteria, staffing, equipment, payer considerations, location, and care-coordination needs. We do not make medical determinations, and we never guarantee a placement or an acceptance decision. Each prospective home and clinical team makes its own assessment of whether they can meet the documented care needs.
Our placement support is free for families; adult family homes pay us a referral fee when a placement is successfully arranged.
